Rally Buddy (rallybuddy.app) is a matchmaking app for tennis and pickleball. The controller is Alexander Edelmann. Questions or requests: Alexander.Edelmann80@gmail.com.

What we collect

We take only the first name from Google, not the surname.

Live GPS stays on your phone

The browser may ask for your location. If you allow it, we keep those coordinates only on your device (in the app’s local storage) so we can sort nearby matches and search for courts. We do not save live GPS on your account. Discover pins the court the organizer picked — not your home.

You can deny the permission. Nearby sorting and court search will work less well, but you can still sign in, organize, and join matches.

Nearby courts and the map

When you tap Nearby courts, your current coordinates are sent to Photon (komoot) and OpenStreetMap Overpass so we can find pitches around you. We do not store that query. Map tiles load from OpenStreetMap.

Why we process this (legal basis)

We process account, match, and chat data to provide the service you signed up for (a contract). Browser location is optional: it is not required to have an account.

Who receives data

Other signed-in players can see your first name, photo, skill level, and matches you are part of. Chat is visible to people on that match.

Transfers, ads, and selling data

Google and Netlify may process data in the United States. We do not sell your data. There are no ads and no analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you delete it in Profile. That removes the account and related app data we control. After a match ends, you can keep sending in that match chat for 48 hours after the match end time, or until both players have submitted their post-match rating, whichever is later. Then the thread is read-only (history stays on the past match). We delete match messages 7 days after the match end time.

Your rights

You can ask to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to receive a copy of your data (portability). Email Alexander.Edelmann80@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) at aepd.es.

Cookies

We only use what sign-in needs. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

Privacidad (resumen en español)

El responsable es Alexander Edelmann (Alexander.Edelmann80@gmail.com). Recogemos tu nombre, correo y foto de Google; el perfil (nombre, bio, nivel, estilo de juego); partidos (deporte, hora, nombre y coordenadas de la pista, notas, duración); solicitudes para unirse; el chat del partido; y valoraciones 1–7. De Google tomamos solo el nombre de pila, no el apellido.

El GPS en vivo lo pide el navegador y se guarda solo en tu dispositivo para ordenar partidos cercanos y buscar pistas. No lo guardamos en tu cuenta. Discover marca la pista, no tu casa. Si pulsas Pistas cercanas, tus coordenadas actuales se envían a Photon (komoot) y a Overpass de OpenStreetMap para encontrar pistas, y nosotros no almacenamos esa consulta. El mapa carga teselas de OpenStreetMap.

Tratamos los datos de cuenta, partidos y chat para prestar el servicio (contrato). La ubicación del navegador es opcional: puedes denegarla y las funciones de cercanía funcionarán peor. Destinatarios: Google (inicio de sesión), Supabase (base de datos y autenticación en Fráncfort, UE), Netlify (alojamiento), Photon/komoot y Overpass (búsqueda de pistas) y OpenStreetMap (mapa). Google y Netlify pueden tratar datos en EE. UU. No vendemos datos. No hay anuncios ni cookies de analítica.

Conservamos la cuenta hasta que la borres en Perfil; eso elimina la cuenta y los datos de la app que controlamos. Tras un partido puedes seguir enviando mensajes 48 horas después de la hora de fin, o hasta que ambos jugadores envíen su valoración, lo que ocurra más tarde. Después el hilo es de solo lectura. Borramos los mensajes 7 días después de la hora de fin del partido. Derechos: acceso, rectificación, supresión, limitación, oposición y portabilidad — por correo al contacto. Reclamación: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), aepd.es. Cookies: solo las necesarias para iniciar sesión; no usamos cookies de marketing.

Datenschutz (kurz)

Verantwortlicher: Alexander Edelmann (Alexander.Edelmann80@gmail.com). Wir speichern Google-Anmeldedaten, Profildaten (Vorname, Bio, Spielstärke, Spielstil), Match-Daten (Sport, Zeit, Platzname und Platz-Koordinaten, Notizen, Dauer), Beitrittsanfragen, Match-Chat und 1–7-Bewertungen. Von Google übernehmen wir nur den Vornamen, nicht den Nachnamen. Dein Live-GPS bleibt auf dem Gerät (für nahe Matches und Platzsuche) und wird nicht auf dem Konto gespeichert. Die Karte zeigt den Platz, nicht deinen Wohnort. Bei „Nearby courts“ gehen aktuelle Koordinaten an Photon (komoot) und OpenStreetMap Overpass; wir speichern diese Anfrage nicht. Kartenkacheln kommen von OpenStreetMap. Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag für Konto/Match/Chat; Standort im Browser ist optional. Empfänger: Google, Supabase (Frankfurt, EU), Netlify, Photon/komoot, Overpass, OpenStreetMap. Google und Netlify können Daten in den USA verarbeiten. Kein Verkauf, keine Werbung, keine Analyse-Cookies. Löschung im Profil. Nach dem Match bleibt der Chat 48 Stunden nach Match-Ende schreibbar, oder bis beide ihre Bewertung abgegeben haben — je nachdem, was später ist. Danach nur noch Lesen. Nachrichten werden 7 Tage nach Match-Ende gelöscht. Rechte und Beschwerde: per E-Mail bzw. AEPD (aepd.es).
